  • Masterpiece X is the 3D creation platform for modern creators.

    Masterpiece X is designed for anyone who:

    • wants to start creating in 3D but isn’t sure where to start;

    • loves to work with new tools (like AI) and a passionate community of creators;

    • is frustrated with traditional tools that are often complex and expensive.

    Masterpiece X makes it easy to:

    • GENERATE game-ready 3D models, textures and animations - with just a few words! Game-ready means that these assets are instantly recognizable and usable by industry standard game engines (like Unity or Unreal Engine) as well as popular apps (like Blender or VRChat). Coming soon - join our waitlist for early access!

    • EDIT your 3D asset immersively with our Meta Quest 2 app! Change the shape (mesh), the paint (texture), and how it moves (rig, skin, animate). Get full control with Manual Tools or skip the hard parts with “Magic Tools” (these are AI-powered features) like Remesh, AutoUV, AutoRig and more!

    • SHARE & USE - you’re in control! Use your 3D model anywhere you like by downloading it! Keep your 3D assets private or share them with the entire community. Shared assets become templates and add-ons for others to create with, remix and accelerate their own creativity!

    • wants to accelerate their creativity!

    With Masterpiece X, you don’t need to start from scratch!

    Accelerate your creativity by:

    • discovering 3D assets in the Community Library (generating and importing coming soon!),

    • remixing any step - from mesh to texturing, rigging, and animation,

    • adding onto your project by browsing & applying different assets like textures and animations from the Community Library,

    • exporting your 3D asset to your game, virtual world, or creative project, and

    • sharing it with our community to inspire & help others!

    Masterpiece X is NOT for experienced 3D modelers, animators, or creators who want

    • to start from scratch over remixing,

    • elaborate control over simplicity, or

    • a VR version of existing 3D modeling tools.

    If you are already familiar and experienced with 3D creation, then you’ll immediately feel right at home with Masterpiece X and will benefit from our faster workflow, intuitive tools, and more!

  • Masterpiece X is:

    • a paid app on the Quest Store

    • and our Generative, text-to-3D feature (web or Quest) does require paid credits in order to create complete 3D models (however, you can signup on via our website to try it for FREE!)

  • Masterpiece X is:

    • a (paid) Quest app - to use our immersive, remixing tools, you’ll need a Quest headset;

    • a web app where you can use our text-to-3D, generative AI to create 3D models of characters, animals and objects. All you need is a web browser, a keyboard and your imagination! We also offer 250 credits for FREE, additional credits can be purchased.

  • Yes!

    Whether you Generate a 3D asset or discover/import one, Masterpiece X currently exports all 3D asset files as .GLB.

    Although Unity doesn't natively support GLB files, you can convert them to other formats (such as FBX) in tools like Blender or Maya, or use community-built tools recommended by other Unity developers.

    Coming soon - we’re working hard to support automatic file conversion into a wide variety of standard formats like .FBX, .OBJ, .GLTF and more!

  • Yes!

    Whether you are Generating a 3D asset or discovering one from the growing collection of completely free-to-use 3D assets in the Community Library - these assets can be edited or customized across any of the different steps of the 3D workflow - Mesh, Texture, Rig, Skin, and Animation - to better match the style or mechanics of your game or project!

    You can then choose to:

    • Share to Community Library - this option enables your 3D asset to be listed publicly (under the Creative Commons Public Domain - CC0 - License). This method is irreversible and others can use these public assets for any purpose

    • Export Privately - this option enables you to keep your 3D assets private.

  • Unfortunately not at this time!

    Masterpiece X is designed to accelerate your creativity and give you a head start by focusing on:

    • generating a 3D asset using our text-to-3D feature

    • remixing any part of your model - from mesh to texturing, rigging, and animation,

    • finding a free-to-use models in the community library (or import or generate your own - coming soon!),

    • exporting your model to your game, virtual world, or creative project, and

    • sharing it with our community to inspire & help others!

  • OUR FORMAT

    • GLB: Example Model

    Attributes

    • Single and Multi-Mesh Objects with closed meshes

    • Max Polycount Limit of 100K

    • Textures are downscaled automatically to 1024x1024

    • Size/scale calibrated to example model

    • UVs (but not UDIMs)

    • Only support one set of UVs (we ignore additional UV sets)

    • Each mesh can have its own UV map (but doesn’t need to, it can be part of a bigger UV map).

    Rig

    • Humanoids should be a standard rig that’s compatible with Unity

    Skinning

    • Only support one set of weights

    • Specific technical detail: we only support WEIGHTS_0 and JOINTS_0 attributes in the GLB spec for meshes

    • Animations on the rig itself

    • No mesh animations (blendshapes or animation via transform nodes)

    PROJECTS / LIMITS

    We're continually expanding support, but current limits are:

    • Textures are downscaled automatically to 1024x1024

    • Polycount should not exceed 100k polys for a project;

    SUPPORTED FILE TYPES FOR CONVERSION

    Our cloud conversion during import on the web accepts these file types and analyzes their attributes and converts them to our native GLB file type:

    • .Glb (conversion can still fix issues)

    • .Gltf

    • .Fbx

    • .Obj

    • .Ply

    • .Stl

    WHAT WE DO NOT SUPPORT

    We have a generally flexible management for different hierarchies of the meshes and rig, but we cannot manage models with these type of hierarchies:

    Non-supported Model Hierarchy:

    • Sub-meshes

    • Mesh as children to bones

    • Meshes acting as root of the rig

    Other attributes we do not support or only partially support:

    • UV Format

    • UDIMs

    • Vertex Painting

    We can preserve existing vertex colors by baking them into the mesh on Import, but you cannot edit them, only paint over them

    Animations

    • Animated meshes

    EXPORT / FORMATS

    • We export as GLB.

  • The Community Library is a shared resource for all 3D creators - whether they are users of Masterpiece X or not!

    All 3D assets found in the Community Library are licensed as Creative Commons Public Domain - CC0. This means that they can be used by anyone, for any purpose, without attribution.

    You can learn more about our shared mission to unlock 1 BILLION 3D creators - and how we strongly believe that the creation of a Community Library of 3D assets will help us all achieve this goal.

  • Yes, absolutely!

    Masterpiece X gives you complete control to choose how you want to create - each step of the way!

    When exporting a 3D project from Masterpiece X, you can choose to:

    Share to Community Library - this option enables your 3D asset to be listed publicly (under the Creative Commons Public Domain - CC0 - License). This method is irreversible and others can use these public assets for any purpose.

    Export Privately - this option enables you to keep your 3D assets private.

    However, using the same descriptions (text input and settings) will create a similar result, although not an identical or exact duplicate!

  • As creators ourselves, this is a topic we care deeply about. We're committed to developing generative AI responsibly, with creators at the center of our work.

    We build our AI models with a blend of publicly accessible data and licensed information from trusted third-party providers. Rest assured, all our data sourcing practices fully adhere to privacy regulations.

  • The process of deleting your account varies slightly depending on whether you're using a web browser or a VR headset. You can follow these steps:

    In a Web Browser:

    Make sure you're signed in to your Masterpiece X account.

    In the header of the page, click on your profile picture to reveal a dropdown menu.

    From the dropdown menu, select 'Settings'. This will take you to the settings page.

    On the left sidebar of the settings page, click on 'Advanced Settings'.

    In 'Advanced Settings', you'll see two options - 'Request Change Password' and 'Delete Account'.

    Click on the 'Delete Account' button and follow the prompts to confirm the deletion of your account.

    In a VR Headset:

    Open the home menu, where you'll see your profile picture.

    Click on your profile picture, then select the 'View Profile' option.

    On the profile page, click on the edit profile icon to open a settings page.

    On the settings page, find the dropdown that says 'Edit Profile' and select 'Advanced Settings'.

    In 'Advanced Settings', you'll see the options 'Request Change Password' and 'Delete Account'.

    Click on the 'Delete Account' button and follow the prompts to confirm the deletion of your account.reach out to us directly.
